Gratitude Journal: The Secret to a Happy New Year

Many studies suggest one of the key determinants of lasting happiness is gratitude.

As we round out 2015 and enter 2016, it’s easy to think about what we are grateful because around the holidays we are surrounded by those we care about and love.

But all too often, it’s the only time of year we are reminded to be thankful for what we have.

So how can we hold on to that warm fuzzy happy feeling we feel around the holidays?

How to keep a gratitude journal:

1. Get a small notebook and keep it by your bedside.

2. Each morning write down three things you are grateful for.

3. Each night write down one thing you are proud to have accomplished that day, and one thing you are looking forward to the next day.

4. Repeat this routine day to day

It only takes a few minutes and will be sure to change your life.
